The Shop Local campaign encourages community members to
support our local businesses by shopping locally. The campaign will be active throughout the month of December.
Small Business Week
Small Business Week, held during the third week of October, is a national celebration of Canadian entrepreneurs and their contribution to Canada’s economy. The Kirkland & District Chamber of Commerce celebrates small business week by providing educational support to professionals in our community that will benefit their operations and by highlighting the importance of supporting local businesses in the Kirkland Lake district.
Halloween Scavenger Hunt is an annual event held in October. The event includes a scavenger hunt to businesses around Kirkland Lake, where participating children receive goodies along the way.
The 2024 Halloween Scavenger Hunt will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at 10am. Thank you to the Rotary Club of Kirkland Lake for their support!
Registration will open on October 15th.
The Santa Claus Parade is held annually late November. Local businesses are encouraged to enter a decorated float, based on the chosen theme. Winners are selected at random and prize money is awarded to a charity of the winning local business’ choice. Volunteers are always required and appreciated.

Annual General Meeting
The Annual General Meeting is an opportunity for the Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors to report on matters such as a summary of events and operations held throughout the year, the audited financial statements, and future directions. Attendees are also given the opportunity to bring forward any comments or concerns they may have.
