Awarded annually, the Best In Business awards recognize local businesses for their outstanding achievements in various categories.
Award Nominations
Nominations for the 2025 Best in Business Awards will be open from January 1st, 2026 until January 15th, 2026.
- Social Media Influencer Award
is awarded to a business or organization with engaging, creative, and influential social media marketing.
- Most Innovative Award
is awarded to a business or organization developing an advanced or innovative idea, process, or initiative that has made a difference to the customer experience or a positive impact on an organization or the community.
- Positive Community Impact Award
is awarded to a business or organization for their outstanding support of the community through positive social responsibility actions and investments into the community.
- Quality Team Award
is awarded to a business or organization’s practices and teamwork to meet and exceed customer expectations and have a positive impact on the community.
- People's Choice Award
is awarded to a business or organization who is most voted for by the public.
- New Business Award
is awarded to a business who has opened in the last five years and who demonstrates the qualities of the first five categories.
- Veteran Business Award
is awarded to a business who has been open for more than 20 years and demonstrates the qualities of the first five categories.
- Chamber of Commerce Award
is awarded to a business or organization that promotes the civic, commercial, industrial, and/or agricultural interests of the area and attempts to preserve and further the operations of Canada’s private or public enterprise system based upon individual freedom of choice and personal initiative and responsibility.
- Young Professional of the Year Award
is awarded to an entrepreneur under 35 years of age who exemplifies community leadership, innovative business skills and has demonstrated outstanding achievement.
- Hometown Award
is awarded to a business owner who was brought up in Kirkland Lake , established their business and makes positive contributions to their hometown business community.
